Le titre Under Foot Over Hand désigne les parties du corps qui sont des points de contact ou de stabilité avec la terre. Inspirée par le souvenir d’une rencontre dérobée dans le jardin de sa grand-mère des années auparavant, l’artiste tente de capturer les textures sensorielles de cette soirée. En transformant cette expérience personnelle en œuvre d’art, le souvenir autrefois simple prend une dimension mythique.
Under Foot Over Hand faisait partie d’une installation sculpturale intitulée Heroes in the Garden (des héros dans le jardin) en 2022. L’œuvre a ensuite intégré l’exposition collective Le présent, modes d’emploi, présentée par Dominique Fontaine à la Maison de la culture Janine-Sutto en 2022. En 2023, ses œuvres ont été présentées dans le cadre d’une exposition à deux, Groundworks à la Maison de la culture Monkland.

The title Under Foot Over Hand refers to the points on the body that are able to meet the earth for stability or connection. Inspired by a memory of a stolen encounter in her grandmother's garden years before, the artist attempts to capture the sensorial textures from that evening. By re-envisioning this personal event into works of art, the once simple memory takes on a mythical scale.
Under Foot Over Hand was part of a sculptural installation titled Heroes in the Garden in 2022. Since then, Under Foot Over Hand was included in the group show Le présent, modes d’emploi at Maison de la Culture Janine-Sutto in 2022, curated by Dominique Fontaine. Most recently, this work was part of the two-person show, Groundworks at Maison de la Culture Monkland in 2023.
