Crusted by a flocking of sawdust, ground leaves and other organic matter, this wall-bound sculpture traces the artists’ material encounters like a topographical map. Re-envisioning a particular memory years before, Dust Swells the Plains imagines a landscape to traverse back to the moment long gone.

Dust Swells the Plains was part of a sculptural installation titled Heroes in the Garden in 2022. Dust Swells the Plains was included in the group show Le présent, modes d’emploi at Maison de la Culture Janine-Sutto in 2022, curated by Dominique Fontaine and in 2023 in the two-person show, Groundworks at Maison de la Culture Monkland.
