D’un livre ouvert émerge une forme ou une image qui se dresse sur la page ouverte. Orientée vers le haut, Tender to the Dead est composée d’un ensemble hétéroclite de matériaux : béton, pâte à papier, bourgeons de roses séchées et plastiques. Comme un livre à lire, cette surface riche et variée est un vocabulaire visuel à déchiffrer.
L’œuvre Tender to the Dead faisait partie de Formless, une exposition collective présentée par la galerie Nicolas Robert et de Groundworks, une exposition duo à la Maison de la culture Monkland, toutes deux en 2023.
/With the cover peeled back, an emerging image/form sprouts from the open page. Erect and reaching, Tender to the Dead is composed of an unexpected collection of materials such as concrete, paper pulp, dried rose buds and plastics. Like a book to be read, such a rich and varied surface is a visual vocabulary to be understood.
Tender to the Dead was part of the group show, Formless at Galerie Nicolas Robert 2023 and in 2023 in the two-person show, Groundworks at Maison de la Culture Monkland.
