Marmoreal II and III, part of a series of six, treat photography as a sculptural medium. Printed on plaster, the images—drawn from architectural fragments photographed in everyday life—become hybrid surfaces that straddle the line between image and object. The gaps fragment the original image and conjure ruins. In recalling architectural motifs, these bas-reliefs suggest a constructed landscape where the image becomes a trace, an imprint, and a memory of a place.
