Cuentos Lúteos is a continuation of Alejandra Zamudio’s drawing exploration into the symbolic depths of the menstrual cycle. This exhibition delves into the Luteal phase, where Alejandra draws connections between the cyclical nature of women's bodies and the rhythms of creativity. Like a woman’s nutrient-rich endometrial lining thickening for the possibility of inception, and the eventual birth of a child, so is the artists’ required meditative, and contemplative process in waiting for Inspiration. The large and small format drawings of Cuentos Lúteos exemplifies the intimate, and fertile practice of contemplation to reality.
On Wednesday March 8th from 5-7pm, Alejandra and Camille Bédard, Head of the Art Volt Collection and on the Board of directors of Festival Filministes since 2019, will be in conversation in the gallery during the vernissage.
The exhibition is presented at Ausgang Plaza from March 8th to 13th.
