From the series Forms, 2018. These images focus on the hat forms used to make stylish pelt hats over 100 years ago in Montréal. The close-up photographic framing of these forms removes them from their context to be assessed anew. These forms point to associations inherent to the hats, such as militarism, class, and global exchange, factors which are similarly linked to the historic exploitation of North America for the materials used in their creation.
