Colombia, my homeland, is among the world’s most violent countries, scarred by political and economic interests. Neocolonialism thrives in South America, as foreign powers see citizens as consumers of conflict; nations like Israel profit by supplying weapons and training paramilitary forces under the guise of diplomacy. This isn’t hypocrisy—it’s profitable business. Violence is commodified, and suffering becomes currency. The human cost in this system displays the total moral collapse that occurs when human pain is exploited for financial gain.
