Julie Ciot

Julie Ciot (she/her) is an artist who works in photography based in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal, QC). Her work revolves around the analogy between the intrinsically temporal nature of photographic images and the ephemeral nature of existence. By exploring the narration process of memory, she translates thoughts, experiences and journeys into a search for existential meaning. Using print - both analog and digital - and installation, she embraces the unpredictable nature of the technical and chemical processes of photography, integrating errors into her visual signature.
