Tina Marais songe ici tant aux premiers soins qu’à la momification, un processus qui nécessite d’envelopper lentement, méticuleusement, une dépouille à l’aide de bandelettes de tissu de sorte que la peau ne se putréfie pas. Étrange coïncidence, cette utilisation du tissu sert aussi pour panser les blessures et ainsi activer le pouvoir de régénération du corps. En sus de l’action des matières et particules non humaines, le flux, la circularité et l’interconnectivité nourrissent également ma réflexion.

Tina Marais is thinking of caring, of mummification, wrapping the body slowly, meticulously in linen cloth, so that the skin will not decay.
